Dai Zhen (1723-1777),
famous thinker, educator in Qing Dynasty. Most of his
life was engaged in teaching. He also emphasized on academic
study. He believed that "Study brings wisdom, while
that don't study makes people fool." On education
content, he chose the "Six Classics"; on study
method, he was strongly against learning without understanding,
and required the comprehensive and thorough grasp of knowledge.
